This stuff was flyin around the den and house.

Here's what happened

This is a run down of what happened to my family around 9pm on April 16, 2011 in Jacksonville, NC.
I was on the sofa  in the den, mad because the Heat game was interrupted by the local news with storm warnings. My wife was in the kitchen with my 2 girls and my son was in his room. The power blinked out hard, and all of a sudden I heard a deep and loud whistle/rumble. The window behind me got sucked out of the den and the whole house was moving. I grabbed my family and as we were trying to make it to the hall way doors were blowing of hinges, windows were popping out, all our stuff was flying around the rooms, and the roof was coming up. Just as quick as it happened it was over. My wife and girls were screaming and crying for a long time even after the tornado had passed.


Now here's the good stuff I'm going to post random pics with explanations.

Our den windows were blown out the frame

This is my 12X20 tool shed. It was moved a few feet, even though it was strapped to the ground.

The entire roof was lifting from the home. This is just a shot of the den.

This is the hallway were we took cover. The sheet rock was coming down and the roof was going up.

During the tornado things were swirling around and bashing into the walls.

The power was ripped off the house and pulled the breakers up into the wall in the breaker box on the other side of the house

I found 2 of the den windows that got sucked out.
